The Idea

Travel is the one purchase that no one ever regrets. A week on an overwater villa in the Maldives. A race weekend trackside at Monaco. A suite at the Ritz Paris. These are the trips people save a lifetime for, and usually never book.

WINTHELUXE exists to change that.

For the price of a lunch, you can enter a skill competition and win the trip outright. No credit to pay off. No twenty-year saving plan. Just answer one good travel question, pick up your ticket, and wait for the draw.

The Company

WINTHELUXE LTD is a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales (company number 17165386), with its registered office in Covent Garden, London.

We operate under section 14(5) of the UK Gambling Act 2005, the statutory framework for skill-based prize competitions. Every entry is gated behind a genuine question of travel knowledge. A significant proportion of entrants get the question wrong, and are excluded from the draw. That’s what makes us a skill competition and not a lottery.

We have voluntarily adopted the player-protection measures of the DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators (November 2025), even though the Code does not formally apply to skill-only operators. It’s the right thing to do.

How We’re Different

We focus on one thing, travel. We don’t run car competitions, property raffles, or cash prizes. Every prize we offer is an experience.

We draw every time. The competition goes ahead on the Draw Date regardless of how many tickets sold. Low sales is our problem, not yours.

We buy the prize after the draw. That keeps ticket prices low, lets us offer larger prizes, and means we can tailor each experience to the winner’s dates and preferences.

We work with the best. Our travel is sourced through partners including direct hotel groups, Quintessentially, Secret Escapes B2B, and GetYourGuide Partners. Five-star service end-to-end.

Our draws are certified. Every tirage is run through Randomdraws Ltd, a specialised UK random-number provider. Draw certificates are available on request.

The Founder

WINTHELUXE was founded by Benjamin Baranes, a French entrepreneur with a portfolio of operating businesses across luxury beauty, digital marketing and SaaS. After years building brands for clients in France, the idea for WINTHELUXE came from a single thought: what if the best trips were actually winnable?

The company was incorporated on 17 April 2026.
